You will find the Lackorona town square peaceful and quite.
Life under the arcades of the wooden houses passes slowly. Lanckorona still retains a small town atmosphere, which was typical of Małopolska towns. For this reason it has become popular, especially with artists, as a place for summer holidays. A town from 1361 but from1934 downgraded into to a village it spreads along the foot of the now completely ruined castle which was built here by Kazimierz Wielki. Thanks to a royal endowment a gothic church, the parish of St John the Baptist was established here. It was rebuilt in the 16th century but up to this day retains its medieval character.
